ppareidoliaa studio is an online gallery platform for limited-edition art objects. We blur the line between visual art and functional design — with a special focus on unconventional forms, and pieces that live somewhere between the beautiful and the strange. Everything here is made in small batches or one-of-a-kind, and once it’s gone, it’s gone.

We like things that make you look twice. We believe art can live on your wall, your couch, or your floor. We’re not trying to fit in — and neither are the people who collect our work.

MISSION

To create and curate art objects that invite a sense of discovery — whether through touch, sight, or interpretation — and to offer a platform for artists to experiment and share work that doesn’t belong anywhere else. We believe in the power of handcrafted pieces, made with intention and a hint of weird.

ABOUT THE ARTIST

Cristo Tapia Montt is a multidisciplinary designer and creative director whose work drifts between the tactile and the digital. With a background in visual arts, he moves easily across photography, graphic design, production design, and image-making—often blending them together.

His practice spans textiles, film posters, visual identities, fashion campaigns, and printed matter, always guided by mood, texture, and story. Cristo’s aesthetic is instinctive, atmospheric, and never formulaic.

He’s also the founder of ppareidoliaa studio, our online studio for one-off objects, creative collaborations, and visual experiments.
